Canal Junction: A mine of info on all aspects of UK Waterways - look for the really excellent regular articles by Tony Lewery, canal historian, traditional painter and horse-drawn wooden narrowboat enthusiast.

Jim Shead's Canal Pages: Another comprehensive overview of the canal scene - "An encyclopedia of the canals and rivers of England and Wales, including historical data, provided by Jim Shead, Waterways Writer and Photographer."

Nick's Canal Route Planner: a very useful tool - put in your start and finish places, hours per day etc and you can print out a route complete with estimated timings, suggested moorings etc etc.

Narrowboat World: An entertaining and topical website with many different points of view, updated almost daily. They will put your email opinions on line. Not very supportive to working boats 'tho!

Canal World Discussion Forums: a lively and entertaing discussion forum - sometimes gets very heated, which is even more entertaining! Highly Recommended!
